NIGHTINGALE EARNS GREENGUARD CERTIFICATION
Nightingale, a leading designer and manufacturer of contract seating since 1928, meets the strictest standards assuring safe indoor air quality

May 8, 2008

Nightingale, one of  North America’s most respected manufacturers of contract seating, has extended its commitment to environmental sustainability by seeking and
receiving GREENGUARD Certification, an industry-independent certification program dedicated to improving public health and quality of life through programs that
improve indoor air.  To achieve certification, Nightingale’s entire product line was tested to GREENGUARD Environmental Institute’s (GEI) rigorous standards.
In addition, Nightingale pursued the more stringent standards required for the GREENGUARD Children and Schools certification, which complies with the State of
California’s requirements for low-emitting materials used in schools and healthcare facilities.

“By attaining this level of certification we have demonstrated that Nightingale products help to provide a better workplace for our clients’ employees,” explained Ed Breen,
Nightingale Executive Vice-President.  “Our GREENGUARD Certification will help clients obtain the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating.  Attaining certification was
the right thing to do for our customers.  For Nightingale, it is an important achievement in our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.”

“We are proud to welcome Nightingale as a participating manufacturer in GREENGUARD’s Certification program,” stated Carl Smith, GREENGUARD Environmental
Institute’s CEO.  “This shows their company’s commitment to sustainability and public health.”

GEI is an industry-independent, non-profit organization that oversees the GREENGUARD Certification Program.  As an ANSI Authorized Standards Developer,
GEI establishes acceptable indoor air standards for indoor products, environments and buildings.  Its mission is to improve public health and quality of life through
programs that improve indoor air.  GEI lists more than 150,000 GREENGUARD Certified products in its online product guide at www.greenguard.org.
